Welcome to Serving People with I/DD and Dementia: Online Training for Families and Persons Giving Care.

About the Training

This training will help you learn more about dementia in persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

The training is approximately 90 minutes and does not need to be completed all at once. If you need to exit the training, you can return to where you left off the next time.

Please note: Throughout this course the term “dementia” is used to refer to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders such as Vascular Dementia, Frontal Temporal Dementia, Lewy Bodies and others. When a diagnosis is made, the individual receives a diagnosis of the type of dementia that they have.
