As a provider of home and community-based waiver services (HCBS), you have responsibilities that include administration, billing and direct care. Specifically, you must:
- Comply with the terms of participation as a Minnesota Health Care Programs provider in the provider agreement
- Comply with licensing standards if applicable
- Assure the state that there are mechanisms in place to protect the health, safety and rights of individuals served
- Deliver and bill for each service provided and receive reimbursement for each covered service based on rate authorized.
- Deliver services in accordance with the recipient’s service plan
- Inform the case manager/care coordinator when there are changes in service need
