Waiver services that are regulated by the Department of Human Services requires providers to have policies and procedures related to participant rights, which includes providing the service participant or the participant’s legal representative a copy of their service and protection related rights upon service initiation and annually thereafter as well as ensuring the exercise of the service participant’s rights.
