Access:

  • Transitional services funds through county of residence for waiver participants.
  • Donations from local merchants.
  • Sources of valuable used goods such as Goodwill, The Arc of MN., Salvation Army and local religious organizations.

People without access to transitional waiver services for goods and moving expenses may also need help paying for moving expenses, utility and/or security deposits and household goods. Check with:

  • Local community organizations, foundations and religious organizations. They may also offer volunteer movers.

Organize the Move

  • Call movers for estimates or organize volunteers.
  • Arrange for move dates.
  • Coordinate county payment for waiver participants.
  • Reach out to volunteers, friends and family to help.
