Premium Refunds

Premiums are refunded when:
The enrollee has died.
MA-EPD eligibility has terminated.
The enrollee has entered a long term care facility and is likely to remain for 30 consecutive days or longer.
The enrollee is exempt from premium payment requirements.
What should the worker do in these situations?
The worker must notify DHS by sending a SIR webmail message to "DHS.MADE@state.mn.us" with a subject of "MA-EPD Premium Change" or "MA-EPD American Indian No Premium." A refund will be issued to the enrollee within 60 days.
