This area displays the port of entry. In this example, the port of entry is Los Angeles.
This is a copy of the old resident alien card which does not have an expiration date. It does not need to be replaced with the Permanent Resident Card. This card is valid until USCIS implements an official replacement program in the future.

The alien number is found on the front of the card. All alien numbers start with an "A" followed by numbers.
This area contains the immigration code which denotes the person's immigration status. LPR immigration codes are either 2 or 3 characters in length. Usually, they start with 1 or 2 letters of the alphabet followed by a number or numbers. In this example, the immigration status is NP1, a nonpreference immigrant.
The date of admission or adjustment date is located on the back of the card. The date is listed as year, month and day.
