The next section of the worksheet is where H bills are recorded. You are to note the date the H bill was incurred.

H bills are to be deducted on the first day of the month in which the premium is paid.

Don't forget to mark the cumulative total!

Recording M, P and R bills are a bit different than H bills. Let's start by looking at the M and P bills portion of the chart.

• Indicate which type of bill you are listing and the date of service.
  • M bills are deducted first and, for the most part, are deducted in chronological order.
  • P bills are deducted next, on the first day of the six-month spenddown or monthly spenddown.

• Next list the provider name and the name of the person receiving the service.

• Then list the gross amount of the bill (excluding any fees or penalties). You can see a column for third party payments which you'll learn more about in just a few minutes. The next column is for the net bill amount. This is the actual amount of the bill the client is responsible for when they apply.

Don't forget to stop when the cumulative total equals or exceeds the spenddown.

R bills are listed in the R bill section. Fill out this section of the chart in the same manner as the M and P bill section.

R bills are deducted in chronological order.
