Padma Das

Padma is the LTC spouse; she was approved to receive EW services for at least 30 days at her LTCC on the 15th of last month. Her husband, Aman, is a community spouse; he lives in their house and is not receiving services through a waiver program.

Padma and Aman are required to complete an asset assessment because Padma is requesting services through the EW and she has a community spouse. The fact that Padma has a community spouse will be used to determine the type of income calculation used and the available deductions.

To Do: Update Padma’s DHS-5590, MA-LTC Case Checklist, to indicate she has a community spouse and that an asset assessment is required.
