LTC Services Through a Disability Waiver with No Community Spouse.

Doris, age 55, is an MA enrollee receiving LTC services through the BI waiver. Her certification period is January through June. She enters an LTCF on February 15 for permanent placement. Prior to entering the LTCF she lived with her 17-year-old daughter. She does not have a community spouse.

Use a community income calculation (MA Method ABD – Disabled basis) for January and February, when she was receiving services through the BI waiver. Use an LTC income calculation for March, the month after her admission to the LTCF.
