Open-ended Questions

Open-ended questioning will stimulate the person to express their thinking and feelings. This allows the crisis responder to acquire more information about the person and their intentions. Questions such as, “Can you tell me more about…”, “I would like to hear more about…”, “I didn’t understand what you just said, could you help me understand by explaining further?” Would you remember the techniques used in the video in a crisis situation?
