Introduction
The functional assessment is part of the three tiered assessment process that includes the diagnostic assessment (DA), a level of care (LOC) assessment and the functional assessment (FA). The process may also include different types of assessments each with their own intent and purposes. These include but are not limited to various physical and health screenings and assessments, substance abuse screening and assessment, psychological testing and others.
