Counties, tribal authorities and MCO’s either provide MH-TCM services themselves or contract with private provider agencies that offer this service. Individuals should have a choice of MH-TCM providers.
It is not the role of the case manager to determine eligibility of an individual for Adult MH-TCM services. Rather, this is the role of the county as the local mental health authority or the tribal authority for tribal members, or the managed care organization for its enrollees.
