Each module will take between 2 to 3 hours to complete. You are encouraged not to rush through the modules; rather explore the links to enhance your learning and discover resources you can go back to and use in the future. Completion of this curriculum can be used to fulfill part of the 40 hours of additional training that some individuals need to qualify as an adult mental health case manager. Go to Subd. 4. (e) in Minnesota Statute 245.462. Successful completion of this curriculum counts for 12 hours of training. You will receive a certificate of completion.
Each module has “optional assignments” that incorporate:
- Readings, interviews, site visits
- DVD recorded trainings
- Writing exercises and
- Consultations with your supervisor and clinical supervisor.
Completion of optional assignments are one way to obtain the additional 28 hours of required training. The certificate, and completion of any optional assignments (must be documented and verified by your clinical supervisor) must be retained if the trainings count toward any required training hours to qualify as/retain qualification as a case manager. It is recommended that you discuss this with your supervisor in advance. Although this training curriculum deliberately contains numerous references and resources for future use by case managers, the curriculum can only be completed once for credit toward qualifications or continuing education requirements.”
