This course will help you learn about how to work with people with I/DD and dementia.

Welcome to Serving People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Dementia online training.

This online training contains a wealth of information to help case managers and certified assessors understand the impact that dementia has on those who have I/DD and what is different for this population, how to best support the person, their families and caregivers, as well as what the best practices are today.

Please note: Throughout this course the term “dementia” is used to refer to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders such as Vascular Dementia, Frontal Temporal Dementia, Lewy Bodies and others. When a diagnosis is made, the individual receives a diagnosis of the type of dementia that they have.
