Cooperation

As with basic MA, people requesting MA-LTC must cooperate with:

Reporting and providing information about potential sources of TPL.
Certain third party individuals, entities or programs are or may be liable to pay all or part of the medical costs provided to MHCP enrollees.
Third party liability sources include:
- Other health care coverage, including LTC insurance.
- Medical support.
- Automobile insurance.
- Court judgments or settlements.
- Worker’s compensation.

Enrolling in or maintaining other health care coverage as required.
Other health care coverage includes, but is not limited to:
- Group health care coverage.
- Individual health care coverage.
- COBRA.
- LTC Insurance.
- Medicare.
- Coverage through a non-custodial parent.
- Coverage through a separated or divorced spouse.
- Coverage through a parent of a minor child living apart from parents.
- Coverage available through military service.
