Purpose of FA
The functional assessment is a critical component in supporting medical necessity and helping prioritize rehabilitation interventions to improve or restore functioning. Content for each domain which links impairment in status and/or functioning to how the consumer is experiencing their mental illness is essential information for all services across multiple levels of care.
