Providers completing the functional assessment must have access to a well-crafted assessment which addresses not only the actual diagnosis and symptoms but the details as to how the consumer experiences their mental illness in their own unique and individual way.
This is important if they are to make the potential link between consumers’ functional impairments and how they experience their mental illness.
