Fee-for-services: tribal-provided model

MH-TCM services provided by an American Indian tribal provider to a qualified tribal member are reimbursed at a federally determined encounter rate, for each face-to-face service contact with the recipient where at least one case management core service component is provided consistent with the client’s ICSP.

The rate is adjusted annually by the federal government. The tribal provider bills and is reimbursed by DHS acting as an agent of the federal government.
