Ready field

At the lower left corner of MMIS screens on the Status bar is the READY (1) field. When navigating in MMIS a small red alarm clock will appear when MMIS is working on completing a navigational task.

  • Do not press another keyboard key or function key until MMIS has completed the task. MMIS will repeat navigation command as many times as a key is pressed.
  • This is particularly important when using F6 function key in add or change mode. MMIS will continue to exit another level each time the F6 function key is pressed.

MMIS status bar

The MMIS panel above is shown as it appears live with default settings. The gray status bar is located below the MMIS screen. In this example the Ready (1) field has been highlighted in red.

  • The Ready (1) field displays most of the time and indicates that worker may proceed with entries.
  • When the red alarm clock is displayed the field text changes to WAIT indicating that worker must wait before making additional entries or navigational requests.
  • The WAIT indicator presents most often after function key F9, F3, F4 or F6 are pressed.
