Personal Futures Planning

Six areas of PFP: Friends, Work, Support, Community, Choices and Home.

You just learned about Personal Futures Planning (PFP). PFP was developed by Dr. Beth Mount and is a planning process that involves:

  • Getting to know the person and what his or her life is like now.
  • Developing ideas about what he or she would like in the future.
  • Taking action to move toward the future, which involves exploring possibilities within the community and looking at what needs to change within services.

A home of one's own is a key area for people in the PFP process.
