1. Has Isabella verified all income that needs to be verified for MA eligibility? Link to pop-up with the following text

Isabella does not have any income. We will discuss what type of income calculation to use in the Income and MA-LTC course.

To Do: Be sure to indicate that Isabella does not have income on page two of her DHS-5590.

2. Should Isabella be referred to the Social Security Administration (SSA) to apply for benefits?

A referral to SSA is not required because, based on verification provided, Isabella has already applied and been denied.

3. Based on the factors you listed on Isabella’s DHS-5590, and not taking into consideration Isabella’s income calculation, possible cost obligation or MA-LTC requirements, does Isabella meet the MA requirements for last month and the current month?

Yes, Isabella meets all of the eligibility requirements we have discussed in this course for both months. After determining that Isabella meets all MA eligibility requirements we can then proceed to look at eligibility for MA payment of LTC services.
