Administering the Screen
The following are ways to become familiar with Local Children’s Mental Health Services:
- Go to the Children's mental health / Minnesota Department of Human Services to learn more about state sponsored services.
- Talk to your local Children’s Mental Health Department or Children’s Mental Health Case Management worker to find out how to refer to case management and local resources.
- Learn who does Chemical Health Assessments and on-going services in your county
- Invite local agencies to staff meetings to get copies of referral forms and brochures.
- Find out information on PMAP programs and straight MA from the Financial Assistance division in your county.
- Find out about your county’s Children’s Mental Health Collaborative and ways to contact the members.
- Get a copy of the Recommendations section of the Diagnostic Assessment to help the family follow the Mental Health Professional’s advice.
