Context of Broad Category 1

Broad Category 1 interventions aim to facilitate recovery and occur within a recovery-oriented environment where the purpose includes:

• Promoting active participation in decision-making and self-advocacy in all aspects of services and recovery
• Assisting in identifying strengths and using them to facilitate recovery and resiliency
• Assisting the identification of barriers to recovery and/or resiliency and how to overcome them
• Assuring participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of their rehabilitation and treatment plan
