Rehabilitation Goals
Rehabilitation
goals are statements of results; not of processes.
The goals should be specifically tied to areas referenced in the functional assessment, where the mental illness is impacting the person’s functioning. They are major steps on the way to a person gaining enough functioning to meet his or her recovery goals.
Examples of rehabilitation goals:
- I will be able to manage my mental illness well enough to go back to school
- I will have gained the skills and knowledge I need to take care of my own apartment
