MMIS MAIN MENU - MAIN

The MMIS MAIN MENU - MAIN panel is where worker selects the MMIS application (subsystem) for viewing or updating.

Information displayed on the MMIS MAIN MENU

The title and acronym for this panel is displayed at the top center of the screen. All MMIS screens display a title and acronym. In this example the title is MMIS MAIN MENU and the acronym is MAIN.

PROD (displayed at the top of the screen to the right of the title) indicates that the current session is in production region of MMIS.

At the top of the MAIN screen after the title and region is the security group the worker used to access MMIS is displayed. In this example C101 is the security group.

SEL column displays the menu options available for the security group used to access this MMIS session.

How to use the MMIS MAIN MENU - MAIN panel

  1. TAB to place cursor in front of the application to be selected.
  2. Type X to select application. In this example RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION is selected.
  3. TRANSMIT to the next MMIS panel.

MMIS Navigation Reminder

  • TAB to place cursor at the start entry point of fields in MMIS.
  • ARROW keys move cursor in the direction of arrow one space at a time. Use of arrow key does not guarantee placement of cursor is at the entry start of a field.
  • The function keys available on the current screen are displayed at the bottom of the screen. In this example PF3 Save and Exit, PF6 Not Save and Exit and PF10 OOPS are available.

Review of steps taken so far to access MMIS

  1. We launched a MMIS Mainframe session from the desktop icon
  2. Entered a domain code on the State of MN panel
  3. Completed the logon process on the Logon panel
  4. Entered mw00 on the panel with no name
  5. Read the MMIS Security Banner
  6. Selected a security group on the MMIS Group Security Selection panel
  7. Chose an application from the MMIS MAIN MENU panel
