MMIS SCRNG KEY PANEL - ASCR
The ASCR panel is the key panel for screening documents in MMIS.
Field entry on the ASCR panel defines search criteria within the SCREENINGS subsystem.

How to complete the ASCR panel
- Enter desired code in ACTION CODE field.
- INQUIRY mode allows worker to view existing screening documents in MMIS. In this example I (INQUIRY) is entered in the ACTION CODE field.
- CHANGE mode allows worker to update the most recent screening document in MMIS by displaying a copy of that screening document.
- ADD mode allows worker to create an initial new screening document in MMIS. After initial document is entered into MMIS worker may use ADD or CHANGE to create additional screening documents.
- DELETE mode allows workers with specific security access to delete certain types of screening documents when entered incorrectly.
- Entry of a code in the DOCUMENT TYPE field limits access to only the screening document type entered.
- In inquiry mode if no code is entered in the DOCUMENT TYPE field then all screening document types can usually be viewed for a more complete history.
- Some security group access limits the types of screening documents that can be viewed.
- In change or add mode a code is required in the DOCUMENT TYPE field.
- Section one requires entry of a document number, recipient ID or case manager number.
- Entry of a document number in the DOCUMENT NUMBER field displays only that screening document.
- Entry of PMI number in the RECIPIENT ID field is the most common search criteria used. In this example a PMI was entered in the RECIPIENT ID field.
- MMIS will open the ASEL selection panel if more than one screening document for the person exists in MMIS.
- If there is only one screening document in MMIS then the first screen of the existing screening document is displayed.
- If both DOCUMENT NUMBER and RECIPIENT ID fields are entered MMIS posts warning message ONE KEY MUST BE VALUED - ONLY ONE KEY MAY CONTAIN A VALUE.
- A case manager may search for screening documents with his or her CM number by entering their case manager provider number in the CASE MGR/PROV NBR field.
- Section 2 of the ASCR panel is optional and is used to limit search by a span or document status.
- TRANSMIT to the next MMIS screen.
- When no screening documents meet the search criteria MMIS posts the worker message NO DOCUMENTS MEET THE SELECTION CRITERIA.
Additional information on the ASCR panel
- The panel names and acronym of the various screening documents in MMIS are listed near the bottom of the ASCR panel.
- Place the cursor on the + or +/- symbol at the lower right of the screen and press F8 to advance through list.
- Place the cursor on the - or +/- symbol at the lower right of the screen and press F7 to view previous page.
- MMIS posts worker messages CANNOT SCROLL FORWARD - NO MORE DATAT TO DISPLAY and CANNOT SCROLL BACKWARE - NO MORE DATA TO DISPLAY when start and end of list is reached.
Let's review.
- From the MMIS MAIN MENU - MAIN the SCREENINGS file was selected.
- Pressing TRANSMIT advanced to the ASCR panel.
- From the MMIS SCREENINGS KEY PANEL - ASCR we entered a PMI in the RECIPIENT ID field to search for screening documents for a specific recipient.
- Pressing TRANSMIT advances to the ASEL panel.
