How to navigate the LTC screening document

  1. In inquiry mode most MMIS fields are protected and workers are not allowed to enter data. Inquiry is used to view information in MMIS.

    • TRANSMIT to advance to the next MMIS panel in queue.
  2. In change and add modes some fields are protected and some fields are available for data entry.
    • TAB to available field. Any text in green may be updated. TAB will place cursor at available fields for entry. TAB past fields not needing completion.
    • SHIFT-TAB to go back to the previous field.
    • Press HOME key to bring cursor to the top of the page.
    • The END key removes entire entry in a field. DELETE key removes entry one character at a time.
    • The function key F10 will remove the most recently entered data in MMIS fields. F10 does not remove data that was previously entered and saved in MMIS.

    • Place cursor on a field entry and press function key F4.
    • If F4 navigation function is available MMIS navigates to the subsystem requested.
    • F4 navigates to MMIS RECIP SUMMAR - RSUM panel from anywhere on the screen..

    • From Diagnosis code fields F4 navigates to MMIS DIAGNOSIS SCRN - FDI1.
    • From edit number F4 navigates to edit text on MMIS PA/SA EXC RESLT - FPAT.
  4. To return to MMIS location (subsystem and screen) where F4 navigation was requested press F6.
      • F6 exits current screen and returns to previous screen.
      • Press F6 key only once to return to previous screen. MMIS will repeat exit function every time F6 key is pressed.
      • In change or add mode pressing F6 more than once could result in exiting current screening document without saving and entries will be lost.
  5. F3 function key saves and exits when using add or change mode to enter data in a document. Use F3 key only when completely finished entering data and are ready to finalize document.
