MMIS PA KEY PANEL - AKEY

Before we look at the service agreement screens we will learn about how to complete AKEY panel to add a waiver or AC service agreement into MMIS. Then how to complete AKEY to change an existing SA.

How to complete the AKEY panel to create a new service agreement

  1. Enter A (add) code in ACTION CODE field.
  2. Enter T (SVC AGMT) in the AUTHORIZATION TYPE field for service agreements.
  3. Enter a service agreement type code in the In AGMT TYPE field. See table below for service agreement type codes.
    • In this example A (add) was entered in the ACTION CODE field and T was entered in the AUTHORIZATION TYPE field and R (DD Conversion) was entered in the AGMT TYPE field.
  4. TRANSMIT to the ASA1 panel, the first screen in the waiver service agreement queue.
    • In add mode most of the fields on service agreement screens are blank. Worker enters information to create a service agreement.

How to complete the AKEY panel to update an existing service agreement

  1. Enter C (change) code in ACTION CODE field.
  2. Enter T (SVC AGMT) in the AUTHORIZATION TYPE field for service agreements. (Optional.)
  3. Enter a service agreement type code in the In AGMT TYPE field. (Optional.) See table above for codes.
  4. In change mode section one requires entry of an authorization number or recipient ID.
    • Entry of an authorization number in the AUTHORIZATION NUMBER field displays only that SA.
    • Enter PMI number in the RECIPIENT ID field.
      • MMIS will open the ASEL panel if more than one SA for the person exists in MMIS.
      • If there is only one SA in MMIS then the first screen of the existing service agreement is displayed.
      • If both DOCUMENT NUMBER and RECIPIENT ID fields are entered MMIS posts warning message ONE KEY MUST BE VALUED - ONLY ONE KEY MAY CONTAIN A VALUE.
  5. TRANSMIT to the ASA1 panel.
    • In change mode the fields on service agreement screens will contain data previously entered. Worker updates information in fields that are not protected. Rules about making change on existing service agreements vary depending the the waiver type.

When ACTION CODE field entry is I (INQUIRY) or C (CHANGE) the ASEL panel will display if there is more than one document for the search criteria entered. When ACTION CODE is A (ADD) the ASEL panel does not display.
