Padma Das
Padma (age 76) is requesting MA payment of LTC services to receive services through the Elderly Waiver (EW) program. Padma was hospitalized on the seventh of last month and was discharged on the twenty-eight. She resides in her own home with her husband, Aman.
Padma had a Long-Term Care Consultation (LTCC) and was found to need an institutional level of care. In order to remain in her home, Padma will need the support of services provided through the Elderly Waiver program.
Padma’s case will introduce you to MA-LTC policy and procedures as they apply to a person requesting home and community-based services through the EW program.
