MMIS ACCESS
Request for MMIS access
County, Tribal, DHS (Department of Human Services) staff or other contracted agencies must be given permission to access MMIS.
- Workers are granted MMIS access based on business need.
- Worker's supervisor defines scope of MMIS needs and approves request for MMIS access.
- Agency MMIS liaison requests MMIS access from DHS MMIS Security unit.
- DHS MMIS Security unit reviews requests for access and assigns worker permission to access MMIS.
MMIS Security Groups
DHS MMIS Security unit assigns one or more MMIS Security Groups for permissions requested. Security Groups:
- Define and grant access to the MMIS applications a worker needs for their job.
- Restrict access to areas worker has no business need for.
- Designate which MMIS applications a worker is allowed to view only and when a worker is allowed to create and update documents in MMIS.
MMIS Access Revoked
MMIS access may be revoked for several reasons.
- Worker is no longer employed by agency and supervisor has requested MMIS access revoked.
- Worker no longer has a business need to access MMIS and a request to revoke access is made.
- Worker has not accessed MMIS recently and MMIS access has been automatically revoked.
Worker's supervisor and agency's MMIS liaison follow DHS MMIS Security policy and procedure when revoking, reinstating or requesting MMIS access for a worker.
