Protection of Individuals

Minnesota Vulnerable Adults Act (Minn. Statutes 626.557)

Every county has a Common Entry Point (CEP) to take reports of suspected abuse and maltreatment of vulnerable adults. The Common Entry Point is available 24 hours a day. Contact the county CEP if a person meeting the definition of a vulnerable adult may be experiencing:

  • Physical, emotional or sexual abuse
  • Caregiver neglect or self neglect
  • Financial exploitation

You can locate the county's CEP telephone number in the Statewide Common Entry Point Directory. The link of the Directory is found in the Resource Guide for this training module.
