Conciliation conference (MR/RC Waiver only)

Conciliation conferences are alternate dispute resolution mechanisms for persons who have a grievance with their case management services. Conferences take place in informal settings and persons involved may be able to resolve conflicts with the help of mediators. This is recommended when resolutions may be reached outside of the formal appeal process.

Formal appeal process

Comprised of five basic steps: Notice of Action, request for hearing, notice of hearing, hearing and the hearing order/decision.

Reconsideration

Parties who disagree with decision of the commissioner may appeal to the district court or request reconsideration by the commissioner within 30 days after the date the commissioner issues the decision. The commissioner may reconsider an order upon request of any party or on his or her own motion.
