Section Overview
This section will take a closer look at the managed care product available to your clients who are under age 65 and who have been determined to have a disability.
As of January 1, 2012, certain clients are able to enroll in the managed care Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) product. Clients who meet the following conditions may enroll in SNBC if the program is available in their county of residence:
- Are between the ages of 18 and 65.
- Have a disabled basis of eligibility.
- Do not meet a managed care exclusion, other than disability.
- If Medicare eligible, they are enrolled in both Part A and B.
- Choose to enroll by not filling out an op-out form.
