Background about Janet

Janet reports being depressed almost daily. Janet has medical concerns which include asthma, allergies, and dysmenorrhea. Janet reports use of alcohol to "numb the pain" when she is really depressed. Janet denies having an issue with chemical use and has not been through a treatment program for use. Janet has some contact with her family, specifically her mother and grandmother. Janet is a musician. She wants to complete an AA degree with the desire to continue her education at a university and to major in music therapy.
