Diagnostic Assessment Review

If the recipient’s mental health status has not changed markedly since the most recent diagnostic assessment or within the last 12 months, only an update of a diagnostic assessment is necessary.

An update is a written summary by a mental health professional of the recipient’s current mental health status and service needs.

A new diagnostic assessment is required if the recipient’s mental health status has changed markedly since the recipient’s most recent diagnostic assessment.
