stack of papersPsychotropic Medications, other documentation

Minnesota Administration Rule 9520.0914 Subp. 2B. (5) has a very specific and uncommon responsibility of adult MH-TCM case managers. The case manager is responsible to arrange for a standardized assessment by a physician of the adult’s choice of side effects related to the administration of the adult’s psychotropic medication. Since over 90% of recipients are on some type of psychotropic medication, this means that case managers need assure that recipients have access to this specific assessment. Be sure to document who this referral is made to; and/or coordination with the recipient’s doctor specific to this assessment completion.

Other documentation that other payors may require
