Clinical supervision has the meaning in Minnesota Statute 245.462 Subd. 4 (a). Clinical supervision of individual client’s MH-TCM services must be documented in the client file. If the case manager is not a licensed enrolled mental health professional, the clinical supervisor must sign the client ’s functional assessment and ICSP indicating appropriateness of the assessment and ICSP.  Case reviews by the case manager and the clinical supervisor should be summarized and signed in the client file.  Client file reviews by the clinical supervisor should be noted and signed in the client file.

Clinical supervision of the case manager that is not specific to an individual client must be documented in the case manager’s personnel file or related file.

Case manager clinical supervision must be documented to reflect the standards in Minnesota Statute and Administrative Rule 9520.0912.
