Disability Waivers
The household size you will use for a person requesting services through one of the disability waivers (CAC, CADI, DD or BI) is dependent on when the waiver services are received.
- Use a household size of one when determining MA-LTC eligibility for all months in which the person receives or is anticipated to receive disability waiver services.
- Follow basic MA household size rules when determining eligibility for the Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) even in months in which the client is receiving services through a disability waiver program.
For other people in the disabled client’s household, follow basic MA rules for determining the MA or MSP household size.
