Introduction
MA Payment of LTC Services Basics is the second course of the LTC/Waiver course sequencing. This course is designed to build on the information you learned in Introduction to LTCFs and Waivers and it will continue to use your LTC training caseload.
This course will introduce you to:
- The institutional level of care requirement.
- Processing a request for MA payment of LTC services (MA-LTC), including an in-depth look at processing steps, requirements and forms.
- The concept of a community spouse.
- Basic Medical Assistance (MA) eligibility requirements as they apply to MA-LTC eligibility.
- The Home Equity Limit requirement.
