Introduction
In the Introduction to LTCFs and Waivers course, it was stated that a client must be eligible for MA in order to receive payment of LTC services for residence in an LTCF or through a waiver program.
This module will review the first six items found in Step 3 on the MA-LTC Processing Steps (PDF) handout. This step indicates the need to determine if the basic MA requirements and rules as they apply to MA-LTC are met.

- Basis of eligibility.
- Social Security Number (SSN).
- Citizenship and identity.
- Immigration status.
- Minnesota residency.
- Living arrangement.
