Nurses helping a woman.

In the Introduction to LTCFs and Waivers course, and in the previous module, you learned that everyone requesting MA-LTC requires an institutional level of care documented via an LTC screening. The results of the LTC screening are used to determine the type of waiver or placement that best fits a person’s situation.

Documentation that an institutional level of care, as determined through an LTC screening, is required in order to apply the basic MA eligibility requirements as they apply to MA-LTC and the MA-LTC requirements.
