The fact that Christy is a community spouse will affect asset eligibility (an asset assessment determination must be documented), his household size, and his income calculation.

However, at the time LTC eligibility for Sylvester was determined, Sistine would have been a community spouse because she resided in the community and was not receiving services. Once Sistine becomes eligible for receipt of waiver services through the Elderly Waiver, she is no longer considered Sylvester’s community spouse.

The fact that Amy is a community spouse will not affect his household size and his asset eligibility (an asset evaluation is required).
