Asset Limit
As was stated earlier in this module, you must determine if a client’s countable assets are within the appropriate asset limit.
- Certain people continue to be exempt from an asset limit even when requesting MA-LTC. Exemptions.
- Certain people have their asset eligibility determined in conjunction with other MA-LTC asset policies that will be discussed in later courses. Conjunction Asset Policies.
- Use the asset limit based on the person’s basis of eligibility and household size for those clients who are not exempt from the asset limit. This information has been provided for you on the Asset Limits for MA-LTC (PDF) handout.
