Timing of Enrollment
A notice is sent to the MA-LTC client the night enrollment in a managed care plan is coded into MMIS. The notice provides information about the health plan in which the client has been enrolled and the enrollment effective date. A health plan membership packet is also sent to the client within 15 days of the managed care effective date.
Enrollment records are sent to the health plan the day after capitation and the day after the last working day of the month. If an enrollee requires services prior to receiving their health plan membership card, they should call the health plan’s member services. Member services can verify enrollment with EVS or MN-ITS and update their systems with the coverage information.
