Partnership Policy – Step 2
After the DHS-5426C is returned, review the protected assets listed on the form.
- If assets were not protected, determine MA-LTC eligibility for clients who were over assets at the time of request. For clients who are already MA-LTC eligible, continue to Step 5 (updating the policy in the MMIS TPL Subsystem).
- If assets were protected, follow the Step 2 sub-steps found on the LTCP Process – HealthQuest Response (PDF) handouts. These sub-steps direct you to check for verification, to ensure that the value of protected assets is within the PAL, and that assets not allowed protection have not been listed.
