A person requesting LTC services through the Elderly Waiver must be age 65 or over to be eligible for the program. Age 65 or over is the basis of eligibility.

A person requesting LTC services through the CAC waiver uses a basis of eligibility of disabled. A person must be certified disabled by SSA or SMRT to be eligible for this waiver.

Exception: A child who also receives IV-E or state-funded adoption assistance must use the appropriate adoption assistance basis of eligibility and does not use a disabled basis of eligibility. However, the disability must still be verified to be eligible for the waiver program.

A person requesting LTC services through the CADI waiver uses a basis of eligibility of disabled. A person must be certified disabled by SSA or SMRT to be eligible for this waiver.
