MA-LTC Basics

Minnesota Residency

The next eligibility criterion to discuss is residence. People requesting MA payment for LTC services must be residents of Minnesota which means they must live in the state with the intent to remain here permanently or for an indefinite period of time. The state of residence is the state in which the client resides and intends to remain. For clients residing in an institution, the state of residence is the state in which the institution is located.
