Social Security Number
People requesting MA payment of LTC services must provide a Social Security number (SSN), unless an exception is met.
Exceptions include:
- A religious objection.
- Newborns and newly adopted children.
- A person is applying for or receiving Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA).
- Undocumented or non-immigrant people receiving EMA, state-funded MA (NMED) for a pregnant woman or NMED for a person receiving services from the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT).
