Aman’s assets are not deemed to Padma because she is had an LTCC and requested MA-LTC last month. However, in order to determine her asset eligibility, we must complete an asset assessment because she is requesting MA-LTC through the EW and has a community spouse. The asset assessment calculation will determine Padma’s counted assets.

2. Has Padma verified their assets?

Yes, Padma and Aman have provided verification of all of their assets as of the first day of last month (the first month for which coverage has been requested).

3. What is Padma's asset limit?

Padma’s asset limit for last month is $3,000 because she is a household size of 1.

To Do: Update Padma’s MA-LTC Case Checklist (DHS-5590) to indicate that Padma is required to complete an asset assessment and is also required to verify her assets. Padma’s asset eligibility will be determined in the Asset Assessment course of the LTC/Waiver course sequencing.
