Definitions
Some of the things that may come to mind when you hear the words “long-term care” are nursing homes, community spouse, asset evaluation, cost of care, transfer of assets, etc. These are just a few of the terms used when discussing Medical Assistance (MA) payment of long-term care (LTC) services.
Definitions of new terms will be provided in courses when the term is first used. If you are unsure how a term is defined, please refer to the Minnesota Health Care Programs Eligibility Policy Manual (EPM).
